FAQs

  • Roisin Godfrey Florals is based in Co. Clare. However, we love to travel to accommodate weddings all over the country. Check out our blog post for a little more information about my journey!

  • Definitely not. But it does really depend on your vision and the venue. For example, if the venue has a beautiful ceremony space, it’s OK to skip over the archway backdrops. If the reception space is well considered and you like the vibe ‘as is’, it’s totally OK to not have flowers rambling through your entire wedding.

If your budget is limited, our first suggestion is to skip past the table florals and centrepieces and go with an abundance of tea lights (ideally one tea light per guest, but half that amount is OK too). Candlelight adds a huge amount of romance to the reception, without busting the budget! Check out our thoughts about wedding flower cost here.

We don’t align with being a ‘production’ style florist. If you’re getting married in the next 12 months we highly recommend you reach out as soon as possible to secure your date.

  • When travelling for weddings, Roisin Godfrey Florals’s fuel, accommodation and vehicle requirements need to be covered depending on the location.

  • Quality: One of the misconceptions about wedding flowers is that the industry adds a ‘tax’ on as soon as they hear the word wedding. The truth is, one of the biggest drivers of the premium price of wedding blooms is the quality of flowers used in the designs. The most popular styled and photos feature premium flowers like roses, peonies, sweat pea and butterfly ranunculus. These flowers cost 8-10 times more than your typical red rose or spray mum. It’s kinda like buying the fancy sourdough bread for a dinner party rather than opting for Wonder Bread.

Complexity: Things like floral archways, ceremony meadows, hanging installations and flower walls require a lot of time and energy in the set-up and installation. To complicate things more, many venues have specific requirements in terms of logistics and timing that the florist needs to take into consideration. Don’t hesitate to ask your florist what needs to go on behind the scenes so you can feel empowered in your planning process.

Labour Costs: It’s so important to me as a business owner that my team are taken care of and paid correctly. Having a strong team is key to producing the beautiful flowers you see at every wedding. The whole production is a team effort!
